Course Overview
This course is intended for people who undertake Manual Handling Tasks as part of their everyday job. A minimum of yearly updates are recommended. Contact HNMS for more information.


  • To enable participant awareness on the causes of musculoskeletal injury
  • To offer participants methods of safer movement
  • To enable participants to understand the importance of Risk Assessment
  • To offer participants opportunities to assess their own health and well-being through analysis of their habitual movement pattern


  • Participants will be informed of current Laws and Regulations
  • Participants will be offered a safer movement method
  • Participants will have opportunities to develop their Problem Solving skills
  • Participants will have opportunities to improve their own health and well-being
